2. The information we collect
When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to provide it, and the content of your message. When you visit the website, our hosting and security providers automatically process limited technical information — such as your IP address and basic browser details — to deliver the site and keep it secure.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about it — our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running the consultancy and replying to those who contact us, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- keep the website and contact form secure and free from spam and abuse — our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in protecting our site and systems.
We do not use your information for marketing, and we never sell it.
4. The contact form and anti-spam
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by email; the form does not store your enquiry in a database on the website. To protect the form from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. This involves Cloudflare processing limited technical information, such as your IP address and interaction signals. Turnstile is designed to protect privacy and does not use cookies to track you across websites.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who handle information on our behalf, on our instructions:
- Google (Firebase Hosting and Cloud Functions) — hosts the website and processes contact-form submissions; the contact function runs in a UK (London) region.
- Cloudflare — provides the Turnstile anti-spam check on the contact form.
- Namecheap (Private Email) — provides the email service through which your enquiry reaches us.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers operate global infrastructure, so your information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses / the UK International Data Transfer Agreement — to protect it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to keep reasonable business records, after which it is deleted. Technical security logs are kept only briefly by our providers.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, or to restrict or object to how we use it;
- where applicable, ask us to transfer your information to another organisation.
